The restaurant has an outdoor dining area overlooking the port of Cala Gonone. It is really lovely and the atmosphere is refined and relaxing. My family went to dinner (there were four of us) and we were welcomed and served with great attention and kindness. We had a hard time deciding between pizza or seafood dishes but we ended up ordering 4 separate menus: 3 were fish based and the fourth was a spicy menu. Pizza was not available that evening. I tasted a little bit of everything: pasta with arrabbiata spicy sauce, spaghetti with seafood sauce, shellfish soup and assorted fried fish. Everything was good quality.

I stayed at their hotel and I must say that the “Al porto da Simone” restaurant is a sure thing. I have had dinner at this restaurant several times and it has never let me down. Aside from your classic menu, they also offer alternative menus at a fixed price (a pretty good deal). The quality is good.

Four of us decided to go out to dinner on 27 August. They took us to our table immediately and we ordered all the antipastos on the menu – 10 trays for 3 people. Then we decided to try the seafood ravioli (wow!), linguine with squid and ink sauce, spaghetti with cherry tomatoes and swordfish and spaghetti with sea urchins. They were all excellent. Then we ate a tray of assorted fried fish and the fresh grilled fish “del Golfo”. The final dishes were grilled tuna and arugula, tuna and Sardinian guttiau crisp bread with ginger and cherry tomatoes as well as a soup with mussels and clams. We topped it all off with tiramisu and fruit salad. The price was right for such a delicious dinner. We will be back. The house Vermentino wine was very good

A menu that is quite rich and varied. Meals are well prepared and service is quick, even when the restaurant is packed. It is a good idea to book ahead of time since there are a lot of tourists during the summer. The restaurant is connected to Hotel Pop and both offer a wonderful view of the sea. Staff is friendly and professional.
